Mr Daniel Huard serves as Chief Sustainability Officer of the Carbon Foundation and is the guardian of our science-first approach.

A recognised authority in sustainability and high-integrity carbon markets, he leads the design and oversight of the methodologies that sit at the core of our work.

Every compliant carbon credit issued by the Carbon Foundation is generated under frameworks that Daniel has architected and approved, ensuring that climate impact is measured, evidenced and aligned with emerging global standards. From baseline design and additionality tests to leakage assessment and permanence safeguards, his remit is simple but uncompromising: the tonnes must be real, the data must stand up to scrutiny, and the outcomes must be defensible to regulators, investors and sovereign partners alike.

Mr Huard, sets out a rigorous lifecycle for every project we accept: structured screening, technical due diligence, AI-enabled MRV integration, independent expert review and ongoing performance monitoring.
